Youth must have paid their club registration fee in order to be eligible to participate in projects. Members may enroll in multiple projects.

 

photography

age range: 11+

overview: We will be following the 4-H Level 1 Photography curriculum. Project members will learn about photography as an art, a science and a communication tool while developing and applying technical and artistic skills using and digital photography. Having access to a camera (phone or DSLR) and internet access for downloading and sharing is required.



lego


age range: 5+

overview: Using basic bricks and pieces that people have lying around the house, we will learn about tinkering and engineering by building small Lego constructs.  Depending on interest, we can get as complex as you like!


dungeons & dragons


age range: 11+

overview: Players will assume the role of a hero while engaging in an episodic adventure set in a fantasy world, similar to the Lord of the Rings. The goals of the project include: create friendships, reading + math skills, decision-making, leadership, team work, public speaking, role-playing, and becoming good listeners.


scrapbooking


age range: 8+

time: 10:00-11:30am dates: 1/17, 2/21, 3/21, 4/18

place: zoom

overview: In scrapbooking, everyone will work on their own personal scrapbook. We will go over different techniques to create pages and themes. We will learn about the kinds of photos that make a good scrapbook and the different kinds of supplies that are needed. We will also have a recommended supply list that is partially optional.

overview: The leadership project is for members who have been appointed as officers of the club and other members who want to learn about how our club works, take part in planning for club activities and meetings, and develop a better understanding and exposure to all that 4-H has to offer at the club, county, regional, state and national levels.  We will focus on activities to foster skills for problem solving, teamwork, taking responsibility, goal setting and improving written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.


small business

age range: 9+

overview: Learn about business ideation, finding problems and creating solutions, using your skillset to benefit others, how to conduct proper research, writing business plans, and how to confidently pitch your idea to others.


rabbit


age range: 5+

overview: In this beginner experience, people will have a chance to learn about rabbits: what they eat, how they live, and how to care for them.  You will have a chance to make a date to visit a rabbit, and we will also be doing a craft that will be donated to a rabbit rescue organization as a community service project.
